How to make Healthy Tuna Salad
Serves: 4 | Time: 15mins
- Whole30
- Gluten
- Dairy
- Egg
- Sugar

Ingredients
- 4 – 5oz cans of tuna
- 1 small apple
- 2 sticks of celery
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup Whole30 compliant mayonnaise
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion salt
- Pinch of thyme
- Pinch of pepper
Feel free to add or modify ingredients. You can try so many different combinations, sometimes I like to use relish or dill.

Prep
Step One: Drain most of the water from the canned tuna. I leave a bit of the water to add a little moisture. Add tuna to a large mixing bowl.
Step Two: Chop your apple, celery, and onion into small pieces.
Step Three: Add the chopped celery, apple, onion, thyme leaves, mayo, garlic powder, onion salt, and a pinch of pepper to the tuna in the bowl.
Step Four: Stir everything until well combined. Take a bite and see how you like the taste. You can adjust the levels of all the ingredients, try experimenting! Enjoy right away or place the tuna salad in an air-tight container in the fridge.

If you aren’t following a certain dietary restriction, you can put on bread or use crackers to dip in. My favorite is to scoop up the tuna with cucumbers and carrot sticks. Pair your tuna with another healthy choice like fruit and enjoy your yummy meal 🙂
